TARBERT SEAFOOD FESTIVAL 2017
This is a fantastic weekend of seafood, parades, music and fun in the beautiful picturesque town of Tarbert, Argyll. Enjoy an amazing array of fresh local seafood, prepared on the spot. The Harbour is lined with a variety of stalls operated by the local businesses and hotels showcasing the many local delicacies on offer. Cookery demonstrations using the local seafood on offer are held in the fisherman’s market throughout the day. It is not only a celebration of our local produce but there is much to be entertained by over the weekend for both locals and visitors alike. One of the highlights of the event is the crowing of the Seafood Festival Queen and her princesses after she has arrived in Tarbert by sea. This is followed by the festival procession through the village of the floats created by local people with a variety of themes, led by the seafood queen and Mid Argyll Pipe Band. Traditionally Sunday on the fish quay is a great family day out with live music and lots to entertain the kids and adults.
